This will be focused on Kata and Kumite. There will also be an opportunity to improve/practice refereeing towards the end of the course.

This will be held at Hawarden High School, North Wales

Time: 11:30-14:00

KWF-England are hosting a two day course/competition

The course will take place on the Saturday 10:00 – 14:00 (inc. lunch break) following this there will be a Squad Training Session 14:30 – 16:00 (TBC)

The course will be under the instruction of KWF-GB’s senior karate-ka, ranging from 5th-7th Dan respectively

On Sunday there will be a competition starting at 10:00 prompt

There will be opportunities for both sight seeing and also training whilst there so it will be of interest to all.

Shihan Ian Smith has been enrolled as a Member of the International Master Committee based in Japan, which is the Forum for Discussion of the Technical Standards, Instruction and the Planning of Competition Rules for Shotokan Karate

There will be a junior Kyu grade shotokan karate competition. This will comprise of Kata, Kihon Ippon Kumite and Team Kata

Time: 12.00 – Finish (approx 16:00)

Cost: £7.50 per entrant (NOT Per category)

Hand protection and gumshields MUST be worn. Mitts can be provided if you do not own a pair.
